Now That's a Story!

Roxy and Jack had been dating from several years but recently Jack had been acting weird and Roxy felt left out of the relationship. She had decided to sign up to several free dating sites so she had a backup plan if anything went wrong with this relationship. She knew she was getting on and didn't want to have to wait another year before meeting someone. But she thought that Jack was her one True love.

It turned out that Jack was just waiting for the right moment to propose so it was the perfect proposal, and was so nervous about the whole thing that he had been acting weird.

Roxy arrived home from work and found the house spotless, which was kind of creepy, the house was never this clean. Jack appeared, saying " God, you look Beautiful tonight" and her favourite song Beautiful by Nick Lachey was playing in the background. He gave her a present and as she opened it she realised it was a box of tissues. She didn't understand. He said " I think you might need them" as he got down on one knee and said "I only care about you. Just you. I want to look in the future and know that you're there. I want to wake up in the morning, and know that you'll be there. I want to know that you're gonna kiss me goodnight. When you're happy, I wanna smile withyou and whenyou're sad, I'll hold your hand and dry your tears. I wanna spend the rest of my life with you. I love you. Will you marry me?"

She burst into tears and now understood why he had got her a box of tissues. She said yes, of course. She couldn't wait to tell all her friends and family. He was the only man she had ever envisaged marrying and it was the most perfect Proposal. It was cheesy in a restaurant with violinists playing in the background or over the top, like at the top of the Eiffel Tower but it had been simple and home and just right. That was the best proposal ever. The proposal from her true love was beautiful. She realised that this is what true love is.
