I look forward to when gay dating won't be called gay dating anymore.

I look forward to when gay dating won't be called gay dating anymore. Dating should be called dating regardless of the sexuality of the people who are doing it. I mean, you don't hear the words 'heterosexual dating', do you? It's the same way when a woman's a writer, you hear her being referred to as a female writer. But how many times do you hear a man being referred to as a male writer? Same thing applies to black or asian writers, I've noticed - or white writers who are gay.If a hundred writers each wrote down the same word 'caress' or 'handsome', would most people be able to tell from their handwriting what sexuality or ethnicity each person was? Do all gays dot their i's? Do all heteros cross their t's? Essentially, isn't it the words that are more important? Doesn't each word carry as much weight? Isn't the skill in the craft, in each writer's storytelling ability?
So, yeah, I look forward to when the gay in-front of dating won't need to be said, let alone when some parts of society stop judging someone based entirely on their sexuality. Sexuality is part of who we are, but it's not all of who we are. To judge someone based on a fraction of who they are is insane.Anyway, I'm gonna get off my pulpit now! Mini rant over!I haven't been in a relationship in a while. Most of the time, I don't miss it. It would be nice to just flirt with someone for a bit though - not a relationship, just a bit of fe(male) company - caress the ego a bit. Something light - nothing serious. Doesn't even have to involve a kiss, a caress or sex. Doesn't even have to be handsome or pretty - just attractive to me. I tend not to go for classically handsome men or pretty women anyway. It's just that it's nice to have a bit of light flirty human interaction at times - laughter, looking into someone's eyes, just talking, having a drink or a meal or both with absolutely no strings attached but feeling better for the social contact.
