Now That's a Story!

Darren decided to take his girlfriend out in his new car.He had only ownedit for two days, and was excited about taking Sophie out for a spin in it. He had taken it out for drives in the past two days to get used to the feel of it, and apart from a brief encounter with a police officer for speeding, and then another brief encounter with another policeman for the same reason the next day, there had been no problems. He opened the front passenger door for Sophie, and kissed the top of her head as she got in. "You will enjoy this babe!" he promised her as he closedthe gleaming door and got in the drivers seat. Sophie smiled and rested her head on his chest when he was sitting next to her.After the couple had hada cuddle, Darren announced it was "time to roll", and started the engine. Sophie settled back into the leather seat, and watched as thehouses around her started to flash past at increasing speeds. The couple had a game where at every red traffic light, they would have a quick cuddle, and it was during one of these cuddle lights that things started to go wrong. Darren was distracted by Sophie, and didn't notice that the light had changed to green.After lots of tooting from the car behind him, he pulled away and sped off towards the next traffic light. It was red whenhe got there, yet the car behind him was still tooting. Darren started to get annoyed "I'm not gonna jump the bloody traffic lightmate!" he muttered, as Sophiekissed his neck. Suddenly, Darren's car lurched forwards andthe couplewerethrown forwards, and then pulled back to their seats by their seat belts. "What the hell?"Darren looked inhis rear view mirror "He rammed me!". Thelight was still red, yet the car behind them had deliberately rammed into the back of them, the lad in itgrinning nastily at them. Sophie laid her hand on Darren's arm to calm him down "Don't worry honey, we can loose them as soon as we're past theselights." As soon as the light was green, Darren sped offdown a residential road to try and loose the car behind, but the carfollowed him at every turn. "What the helldoes he think he's playing at?!" Darren was furious, and decided to join a nearby motorwayto loose his pursuers. Once on the motorway, Darren sped off at over 100mph. Sophiepointed this out gently, but he assured her it was perfectly safe, and he was just tyring to loose the other car. His plan worked, and after only a brief encounter with the other car atsome roadworks, Darren and Sophie lost their pursuers. "Honey, you can slow down now, they'vegone." Sophie looked quite scared.Darren ignored her and continued at his speed on 108mph. Suddenly a car drew up beside them doing the same furious speed, and started weaving towards them. It was the car from before! Darren swore and sped up even faster. Suddenly a siren sounded behind them and Darren swore again, slowing down he started topull over. The police car stopped behind them, and Darren told them about the other car, the Policeman called for backup and another car went screaming after them."Be that as it may sonny, you still cant escape a speeding fine, whether you were being pursued or not! I'm assuming your girlfriend here didn't know she would be speed dating when she got in your car this morning?!" Darren felt guilty, the speed must have scared Sophie, and he hadn't listened to her pleas to slow down! After paying the fine and driving slowly home, he held Sophie close and promised her that next time he drives her anywhere, he will ring for help if they're in trouble instead of using speed to escape. Sophie looked relieved, and kissed him softly.
