Now That's a Story!

I am only sixteen but I still have been looking around on the Internet for dating sites. My mother tells me that I shouldn't be looking into these dating sites, that I am way too young for that sort of thing. That is what she says, but all of my friends are doing it. I know, my mother always asks me if all my friend were to jump off the side of a cliff, would I do it too? Of course not, I only say that to her because to show her that I'm not the only kid out there doing the same thing. The dating sites that they have online are very popular. It seems like they have a new one every week. It is practically impossible to keep up with all of them coming out.

Anyway, I really don't need to register to any of the new dating sites that they have on the Internet, because my Facebook profile lets me find all sorts of different people to meet. Not just guys to date, but a lot of good friendships of mine have come from my Facebook account. I also have a MySpace account also, but I am more active on my Facebook account.

About a month ago I meet this really sweet guy on Facebook. I later found out that he went to my school, but was in a different grade than me. We hit it off as friends right away. Ever since wehad a brief encounter atStarbucks that first week of meeting on Facebook, we haven't gone a day without speaking, or emailing each other. One of the reasons that we hit it off so well is because we both are passionate about music. A lot of kids these day are, but we seem to have a special thing with music. We are both on a band and we both play the drums. Every time we talk about maybe joining bands, I get a tickle down the back of my neck from pure excitement. I'm so happy that we met. I don't really know how I survived without him. He makes me so happy. Our relationship is not romantic at all, which is really strange. Because he is very cute and he has told me that he thinks I'm cute. I just think that we respect each other way too much right now to complicate things with romance. Maybe later in our relationship something else will happen. But for right now, I'm very happy where we are.
